Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) / CHaRM Consultant with deep technical and functional expertise in Configuration, Change Request Management (CHaRM), Retrofit, and ITSM within SAP Solution Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing end-to-end SolMan environments, driving operational excellence, and supporting release and retrofit activities across multiple SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

<>Solution Manager Configuration & Support</>

  • Configure, support, and maintain SAP Solution Manager including CHaRM, ITSM, and Process Management modules.

  • Set up and troubleshoot Business Process Monitoring (BPM), Technical Monitoring (TechMon), and EarlyWatch Alerts (EWA).

  • Implement and manage Solution Documentation, Template Management, and System Landscape Information.

  • Configure and maintain Solution Manager Work Centers and ensure seamless integration with connected SAP systems.

<>CHaRM & Retrofit Management</>

  • Lead the end-to-end setup of CHaRM (Change Request Management) and Retrofit functionalities.

  • Perform troubleshooting, performance optimization, and defect resolution in CHaRM and Retrofit environments.

  • Support minor and major release cycles (sustainment and project tracks) in collaboration with the release manager.

  • Test, document, and validate new CHaRM enhancements and workflows.

  • Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to business process owners on CHaRM and Retrofit processes.

<>Operational Excellence & Monitoring</>

  • Configure and monitor EWA alerts, system performance, and remote supportability tools.

  • Manage SAP operations including Test Management, Template Management, and System Landscape Information.

  • Implement Focus Insights and Focused Solutions for proactive system health and performance reporting.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to present technical insights, gather requirements, and recommend best practices.

Technical & Functional Expertise:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience configuring and supporting SAP Solution Manager (7.2 preferred).

  • Proven expertise in CHaRM, Retrofit, ITSM, and Solution Documentation.

  • Hands-on experience in BPM/TechMon configuration, EWA alerts, and system optimization.

  • Deep understanding of SAP landscapes, release management, and system connectivity.

  • Experience troubleshooting CHaRM-related issues and conducting root-cause analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP Operations, Test Management, and Template Management.

  • Proficiency in Focused Insights and Focused Build functionalities.

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments and integration with SolMan.

  • Exposure to Solution Manager upgrades, Focused Build implementation, and Retrofit automation.

  • Prior experience in end-user training and process documentation workshops.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

  • Ability to interact confidently with business process owners and leadership.

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and documentation quality.
