Job Description: Tanium Administrator, Information Technology (IT) Asset Visibility and Security Engineer
Technical contributor that will be implementing cybersecurity and IT asset lifecycle management strategies protecting the digital network, connected assets, hosted applications and data, and employees within the Information Technology (IT) environment supporting business, financial, and retail activities. Role is also responsible for infrastructure, application and user administration of the Tanium environment. The Tanium environment is engaged with a heterogeneous mixture of over 100,000 end-user and server systems.
Candidates must have strong demonstrated experience in large enterprise IT environment including 8+ years of IT security experience and application of asset visibility solutions towards IT hardware and software asset management security efforts and IT asset lifecycle management supporting both IT operations and security efforts including OS patching, application maintenance, vulnerability management, and security event investigation support. Candidates must also have accredited and relevant college degree (computer science, information systems, etc.) or congruent work experience. Candidates must also have documented enterprise-based experience as a Tanium administrator, and Tanium certification.
Specific technical knowledge, experience, and certifications with relevant tools such as Armis Centrix, Splunk use and knowledge object development, Windows and Linux system administration, AI tool application for data analysis and business process improvement, are also desired.
Candidates would benefit from having relevant technical certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH), strong oral and written communication skills, ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, ability to build & maintain schedules and step-by-step action plans; strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders.
Responsibility includes
- guiding the design and implementation of secure solutions and services across our business and IT support areas.
- security architecture across a variety of applications or domains, including cloud computing, and assigned to project/initiatives of large size, complexity, and risk.
- driving successful configuration and implementation of security solutions to reduce risk.
- developing actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines to ensure information technology architecture and support is consistent, usable, secure, and adds value to the business.
o A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years relevant experience.
o A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
o Typically performs all functional duties independently.
o Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.
