ABOUT THE TEAM
The Platform Security team is responsible for the security of Anduril's common software platform. We ensure that the platform contains an appropriate set of well-designed security features and that the team has a strong security posture both for its own development and for the management of third party dependencies. Platform Security helps other teams at Anduril securely integrate the software platform into their products.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an experienced mid-level software engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you'll implement some of Anduril's most critical improvements to security, working across the stack to deliver production-quality code that meets the challenging requirements of our customers.
Collaboration is key; you'll work with other teams as we make changes that potentially impact them. You'll also collaborate closely with security and software teams across the company to improve Anduril's security posture.
If you're passionate about building things that improve security and if you enjoy both the breadth that comes from working on large systems and the technical depth that is needed to create secure foundations, then this may be the position for you.

US Salary Range
$166,000-$220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Implement the most critical security features. You may need to work at all levels of the stack, from integrating secure hardware to developing and deploying applications.
- Help design new security features and security improvements to common platform services. Our scope is broad, with example domains ranging from operating system hardening, through authentication, to distributed protocols.
- Collaborate closely with other security practitioners and the software platform team, supporting efforts to improve Anduril's security posture while delivering on our commitments to customers.
- 3+ years experience designing and developing software
- Proficient in at least one of the following: C++, Rust, Golang
- Working knowledge of security best practices and an interest in securing complex systems
- Enjoy collaborating with team members and partners, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
- Proficient in at two or more of the following: C++, Rust, Golang
- A deep, demonstrated understanding of how computers and networks work, from a single desktop to a multi-cluster cloud node
- Strong working knowledge of cryptographic primitives and best practices, including key management and certificates
- Experience integrating with low level hardware, such as developing drivers
- Experience with industry standard cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), CI/CD tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems)
- Experience designing complex software systems, and iterating upon designs via a technical design review process
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
