What We Look For in a Hardware Engineer at Lenovo:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Linux or other server-based operating systems (e.g., VMWare, RedHat, SuSE, Windows Server).
- Proficiency in shell scripting (BASH, Perl, Python, or Windows PowerShell).
- Familiarity with UEFI or systems management functions/protocols.
- Understanding of product validation, unit testing, or error injection.
- Knowledge of computer/server subsystems.
- Familiarity with Intel, AMD, or ARM architectures.
- Experience with validation methodologies and automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience swapping hardware components (CPUs, memory, drives, etc.); mechanical experience with electronics is a plus.
