Role: Sr. Enterprise Architect
Location: Local to Sac, CA preferred. Hybrid work required.
Need Local to California candidates.
Certs: (Certified IT Architect, CSSBB, CMQ/OE, PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, etc.)
Seeking an experienced IT and Business enterprise architect consultant who has helped State, federal, and/or private-sector clients identify their own enterprise architecture for applications, infrastructure, and business process flow, especially clients who do not have experience with architectural views. This is not a deep technical architectural position; rather it is for a consultant who can articulate the 'big picture' and help clients start to think from that perspective.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide the client with recommendations to improve the EAF's capability to meet operational needs to conform to defined EA and infrastructure standards and practices
- Recommend improvements to the client to ensure that it can efficiently and adequately support ongoing, evolving, and future operational needs
- Provide the client with a roadmap that details the steps necessary to implement the recommendations
- Create business capability maps and heat maps to show gaps in realizing strategic intent
- Create context illustrations and diagrams to inform decisionmakers
- Create illustrations and diagrams to represent transformation, scopes of change, and roadmaps for delivering complex change
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Must possess specific knowledge of methods including architect enterprise strategy, enterprise architecture development and management; business process design and re-engineering; investment decision making and support for solution architecture development/management; and support the attainment of business strategy and its alignment with processes and information technology strategy
- Must have experience end-end solution in infrastructure (compute, storage, and network) and application-level experience in delivering a complete solution for on-premises, cloud or in hybrid environment
- Possess knowledge and technical expertise in standards and technologies to support complex business analysis, solution selection, systems architecture, and application integration
- Must possess strong knowledge in domains that define an enterprise (business, application, data, security and technology).
- Must have the ability to pragmatically establish an architecture program able to define and execute incremental strategic roadmap benefits.
- Must have the ability to define, apply, and teach methodology and frameworks related to the implementation of EA concepts and solutions such as those defined by The Open Group, The CIO Council, NASCIO or other industry models as well as custom methods to accelerate the delivery of value to clients.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certifications in project, quality, IT governance, and EA standards (Certified IT Architect, CSSBB, CMQ/OE, PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, etc.)
- Experience with California state agencies and departments
- Knowledgeable and experience working with Federal and State programs and organizations.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
