IT Specialist

What you will do:

• Deliver excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
• Resolve issues and provide technical support to staff and clients via phone, e-mail, and in-person
• Train and educate staff on the use of hardware and software, which includes network security
• Assist with network administration tasks, which include the setup and maintenance of user accounts and permissions
• Perform regular systems updates and backups, plus support the day-to-day operations of our computer network
• Evaluate scheduled reports and document technical issues and solutions for future reference

What you will need to be successful:

• Associate or bachelor s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role
• Relevant certifications (ex, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications
• Familiarity with information security practices and procedures to protect the organization's data from intrusion or corruption
• Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Knowledge of network security and data backup/recovery
