This includes development and maintenance of code to support the team's success. A keen understanding and analysis of the data is also important to the success of this role. At Apple, we're not all the same. And that's our greatest strength. We draw on the differences in who we are, what we've experienced, and how we think. Because to build products that serve everyone, we believe in including everyone.

Description In this role, you will: Split your time between coding and working with teams on data collection, coding, and analysis. Apply coding skills to automate reporting (Python, SQL, PHP are the typical) Design, develop, and maintain forecasting dashboards and planning tools that visualize infrastructure demand, usage trends, and capacity headroom across data centers, cloud environments, and edge locations. Build backend services and APIs that aggregate, process, and serve infrastructure telemetry, performance metrics, and business growth signals to planning systems. Collaborate closely with demand planners, finance, data science, and engineering teams to define system requirements and align tool development with strategic forecasting needs. Develop self-service interfaces that enable multi-functional teams to explore infrastructure projections, scenario modeling, and risk assessments. Automate the integration of data from multiple sources, including monitoring systems, CMDBs, cloud billing data, and business KPIs, to support forecasting models. Ensure tools are performant, secure, and maintainable, following engineering best practices and standards for observability, testing, and deployment. Drive continuous improvements to dashboard accuracy, usability, and performance, with a strong focus on user feedback and business value. Document technical architecture, workflows, and user guides to support tool adoption and operational continuity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full stack development, with an emphasis on backend solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools (for example, Superset, Tableau, Power BI, R).
  • Understanding of cloud and datacenter infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and hyperscale/cloud provider ecosystems.
  • Experience with capacity modeling, demand forecasting, and scenario planning for large-scale infrastructure.
  • Ability to present complex data and planning insights to executive leadership (VP-level and above) with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working within large-scale, matrixed organizations where strategic alignment across multiple teams is critical.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with Cloud FinOps (financial operations), their FOCUS model
  • Use of cloud reporting tools (for example, Cloudability, Ternery, Cloudwatch)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-driven capacity planning and predictive analytics tools.
  • Prior experience in a hyperscale cloud provider
