Job Description

You will be the Line of Business Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager for the Hardware Design & Analysis (HDA) - Operations & Supplier Excellence team supporting Air Dominance Strike Weapons (ADSW). Our team drives hardware design quality, supplier performance, and seamless integration of production operations across the LOB, ensuring every weapon system is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards.

What You Will Be Doing
As the LOB Hardware Operations E&T Manager you will own the end to end performance of the HDA Operations & Supplier Excellence function while also leading your own E&T team. You will partner with Production Ops, Quality, Global Supply Chain (GSC) and program area Chief Engineers to provide senior leadership updates, orchestrate performance management processes, and champion continuous improvement initiatives across the LOB.

Your responsibilities will include:
Lead workforce planning for hardware operations, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring the right skills are in place.
Coordinate daily operational activities with Prod Ops, Quality, GSC and program CE's; prepare and present MFC senior leadership status briefings.
Oversee LOB performance metrics, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
Champion adoption of HDA department processes and best practice improvements throughout the LOB.
Coach, mentor, and develop your E&T team members; provide technical guidance, career development plans, and regular feedback.
Manage talent acquisition, onboarding, performance assessments, salary planning, and recognition/disciplinary actions for the team.
Foster engineering competency growth by delivering training, certifications, and knowledge sharing sessions.
Support program development and execution, ensuring adherence to engineering development processes and affordability goals.
Act as the technical conscience for the program, promoting a customer focused mindset and safeguarding technical integrity.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
Must have existing ADSW LOB Production program role
Recent Engineering Production or Supplier Tech Lead experience within Hardware Operations section

Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Process Improvement and Affordability experience
Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask
Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 - $255,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
