Job Details

As a Project Engineer in the multifamily sector of the construction industry, you will play an instrumental role in managing and executing high-profile projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager and the construction team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our high standards of quality. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers excellent benefits and career growth opportunities. Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Project Managers in coordinating and managing all project activities, from conception to completion.
  • Reviewing and analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and plans to understand project details and requirements.
  • Conducting on-site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and safety regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting project reports, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Coordinating with architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identifying potential project risks and challenges, and working proactively to find effective solutions.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Participating in project meetings and providing updates on progress, plans, and issues.
  • Continually improving project management tools, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, specifically within the multifamily sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
