Job Details
The System Administrator is responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, repurposing, and disposal of corporate computing equipment, software, phone systems, printers, and network infrastructure, along with supporting users in various ways described below.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Installs, configures, and supports software applications
User administration, password resets, and other Help Desk tasks
Effectively communicates with external and internal users to resolve issues with profiles, permissions, authentication, access, applications, etc.
Develops and maintains documentation such as user guides, asset inventories, etc.
With guidance of a senior resource, investigates and provides recommendations for hardware/peripheral/supplies purchases. Maintains on-hand inventory
Performs other tasks as required
Reports to the Infrastructure Supervisor
Works closely with internal teams such as Infrastructure, Security, Help Desk, and Customer Service. Works with external users to assist with problem resolution and configuration
Expected to be a backup for team members
Required to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, 2 days remote
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science or related field
1-3 years' experience in a system admin/customer support role
Experience supporting Windows and Active Directory platform, Webex Calling, Intune, M365, VMware, and Citrix
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external resources to develop solutions
Ability and desire to expand knowledge and skillsets needed to perform job duties
Willing to work both independently and in a team setting
Willing to remain open to others' ideas and to try new things
