Role : Cloud Network Implementation Engineer AWS, Palo Alto, Scripting (Bash/Python)

  • Must Haves:
    • Strong experience in cloud networking, DMZ architecture, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
    • 3+ years with Palo Alto firewalls (especially virtual deployments in cloud)
    • Proficiency with both Bash (Linux scripting) and Python (automation scripting)
    • Strong experience with AWS cloud environment (no specific services required)
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Nice to Have:
    • Familiarity with standards such as NIST, CIS, or ISO
    • Prior financial services industry exposure
    • Self-starter with strong collaboration skills
  • Schedule: Standard business hours (EST preferred, not required)

Responsibilities:

  • Implement cloud-based network architecture using designs provided by senior architects
  • Build secure DMZ environments within AWS
  • Automate cloud infrastructure and firewall configurations using Bash/Python and IaC tools
  • Collaborate closely with tech leads and architects on execution plans
  • Ensure efficient deployment and reliable operation of security infrastructure

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years in infrastructure/network engineering roles, preferably with cloud exposure
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (virtual/cloud)
  • Strong scripting capabilities using Python and Bash in Linux environments
  • Cloud platform experience in AWS
  • Working knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation

Preferred Skills:

  • Awareness of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO)
  • Independent and detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Candidate must be self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable working remotely
