ECS is seeking a Federal SAS System Architect to work in our Chantilly, VA office.
ECS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAS Systems Architect. This role is responsible for leading a data analytics team in utilizing data analytics to optimize programs and drive business decisions in support of Veterans Affairs and other Federal Government initiatives. This role is responsible for:
- Managing and prioritizing projects, effectively allocating resources and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analytical insights and reports.
- Ensuring consistent, constant, and proactive communications with the client and project team throughout the execution of the data and analytics operational domain across our customers.
- Leading one or more data and analytics project teams consisting of a mix of technical and non-technical personnel, including data engineers, data scientists and data analysts.
- Closely working with stakeholders to understand the scope and requirements, resource availability, applicable timelines, organizational change needs, stakeholder coordination, evaluation of dependencies and risks, and to help drive solutions to completion.
Required Skills
- Active TS/SCI clearance with ability for CI Poly follow-on.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of Program/Project Management experience, to include:
- 3+ years supervising and developing a team of direct reports implementing an analytics solution.
- 3+ years developing and implementing enterprise data analytics strategies, or functional experience building and managing analytics solutions and executive dashboards, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical and business concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to handle complex customer situations and interact with all levels of personnel to provide a quick and effective resolution.
- Proven experience in data analytics, preferably within the Health IT or healthcare industry.
- Passionate about innovation, process improvement and driven to make a real impact on human health.
- Open to traveling within the Washington DC Metro Area, and CONUS.
Desired Skills
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
- Public Trust national security eligibility determination.
- Applied and demonstrable experience using SAS products for data management, analysis and reporting.
- Experience with languages such as Python and R, and abilities identifying and implementing machine-learning (ML), robotic process automation (RPA), and artificial intelligence (AI).
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
