Job Description :

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Fortran Developer with at least 7 years of hands-on experience to join our team and provide technical support for our existing Fortran applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fortran programming, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. As a Senior Fortran Developer focused on application support, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our Fortran-based software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for our existing Fortran applications, addressing issues reported by clients or internal users.

• Analyze and debug complex problems in the Fortran codebase, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

• Collaborate with the development team to understand application architecture, code structure, and business logic to provide effective support.

• Perform maintenance tasks, including bug fixes, performance optimizations, and code enhancements, to ensure the stability and scalability of the applications.

• Work closely with end-users to gather feedback, understand requirements, and implement requested changes or improvements.

• Document support processes, solutions, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and enhance team productivity.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in Fortran programming and related technologies to continuously improve support capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Fortran development, with a focus on application support and maintenance.

• Proficiency in Fortran programming language and extensive experience working with legacy Fortran codebases.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues in Fortran applications.

• Experience with debugging tools and techniques for Fortran programming.

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

• Experience in scientific or engineering domains is a plus, but not required.

• Familiarity with version control systems and issue-tracking tools is preferred.
