We have been retained by our very advanced fintech client, to deliver a DevOps Engineer on a full-time, direct hire basis, 100% remote work from your residence within a 100 mile radius of the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas metro-plex. This position is 75% on premises Linux server administration, and 25% AWS / Amazon Cloud.

You will play an integral role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our client s applications both on-premise and in the cloud. C++, Linux, servers on premises will need new telemetry, observability, monitoring, log metrics, dashboards with data dog, regression testing of the log files from S3 buckets, specifying the written orders placed in the data center portal to order linux servers and use remote hands team at the data center; linux updates, patches, admin, slots, NICs, switch configuration, switch programmed to receive and send data, IaC, CloudFormation, Outposts, Amazon ECS, Terraform, Ansible, AWS Kafka, AWS API Gateway, AWS CI CD pipeline design and build, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, UDP, TCP, Multi-Casting, BASH, Python, distributed messaging systems, message queues (i.e. Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS), RabbitMQ, Azure Queues, ZeroMQ, MSMQ)



Responsibilities:



Collaborate with a small team to design, implement, and maintain AWS CI/CD pipelines for applications on-premise instances on AWS and in AWS the cloud.



Configure, manage, and optimize Linux servers to support our client s applications this must include experience with Switches, preferrable programming switches to send and receive data. network switch configuration / programming experience is required.



Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform or Ansible to automate server provisioning and configuration.



Monitor the health and performance of our systems and applications, and proactively identify and resolve issues.



Manage and enhance the collection, aggregation, and forwarding of metrics and logs to observability and monitoring platforms.



Continuously improve the observability of our systems, particularly for real-time data streams, by implementing monitoring solutions and alerting mechanisms.



Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues affecting market data delivery.



Experience with network switch configuration and network switch management or network switch programming to receive and send data.



Preferred skills:



Familiarity with multicast or Multi-Casting or UDP data streaming applications or any data streaming applications or distributed messaging systems.

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time



Salary Range: $125,000 140,000 / year
