Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a CDO Trade Settlements Analyst to work for one of our top clients in Houston, TX 77046 (Hybrid).

Job Title: Loan and Portfolio Management - CDO Portfolio Administrator

Location: Houston, TX 77046 Hybrid (On-site at Houston, TX 77046 on Thursdays + 1 optional in-office day)

Pay rate: $27.14-$29.14/hr. on W2

Duration: 06+ Months with the potential for conversion

Work Schedule: Standard Business Hours

Job Overview:

The CDO Trade Settlements Analyst will be responsible for supporting the operations of Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDOs), which are structured finance vehicles comprised of various debt instruments. The role focuses on trade settlement, cash flow management, asset tracking, and reporting to ensure accurate and timely data for investment and compliance purposes. The position offers an opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Settle bond and bank loan trades and invest excess cash per Portfolio Manager instructions
  • Book cash inflows and outflows to investment portfolios accurately
  • Track and maintain asset attributes (e.g., accruals, ratings, industry codes)
  • Generate and distribute daily internal client reports
  • Assist in preparing investor reporting and support other team members as needed
  • Ensure 100% data accuracy through timely booking and account reconciliation

Required Skills and Experience (Must Have):

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong time management skills
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
  • Basic programming knowledge (e.g., VBA, Python)
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree preferred; Associate Degree acceptable with relevant experience.
