responsibilities:


I. Network Security Operations & Management


  • Firewall Administration:


    • Monitor and configure Cisco FTDs (Firepower Threat Defense) and FMC (Firepower Management Center).
    • Ensure optimal firewall performance and policy enforcement.
    • Troubleshoot firewall-related issues.
  • Access Control:


    • Support and maintain Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for network access control and authentication.
  • Web Application Security:


    • Manage and optimize Netscaler WAFs (Web Application Firewalls) to protect web applications against threats.
  • DNS & Content Security:


    • Administer and optimize Cisco Umbrella and Cloudflare for DNS-based security, content filtering, and threat protection.
II. Security Monitoring & Analysis


  • Traffic & Visibility:


    • Manage and maintain visibility tools, specifically FireMon and Gigamon.
    • Utilize these tools for traffic analysis, compliance validation, and rule optimization.
  • Threat & Incident Response Support:


    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Incident Response, IT) to support troubleshooting and remediation activities.
III. Privileged Access & Endpoint Security


  • Endpoint Privilege Management:


    • Support privileged access management using CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM).
    • Ensure that the principle of least privilege is applied to user accounts.
IV. Documentation & Process Improvement


  • Documentation:


    • Document security processes, procedures, and configurations for a complete and up-to-date record.
  • Process Improvement:


    • Assist in identifying opportunities to automate tasks and improve processes within security operations.



qualifications:



Required Qualifications





  • Experience: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or security engineering.
  • Technical Knowledge:




    • Strong understanding of firewall technologies, network segmentation, and security best practices.
    • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools:




      • Cisco FTD/FMC (Firepower Threat Defense / Firepower Management Center)
      • FireMon
      • Gigamon
      • Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
      • Cisco Umbrella
      • Cloudflare
      • Netscaler WAFs (Web Application Firewalls)
      • CyberArk EPM (Endpoint Privilege Manager)


  • Core Skills:




    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
    • Understanding of threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.




Nice to Have Qualifications





  • Audit & Compliance: Experience with enterprise security audits, compliance frameworks, or risk assessments.
