Location: Syracuse, NY
Salary: $35.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly
Description: Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you'll apply quality principles across design, materials, production, product evaluation, and R&D to ensure the highest standards for both in-house and outsourced products. You'll evaluate technical documentation-requirements, specifications, models, and procedures-and collaborate with cross-functional teams including program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to uphold quality standards.

You'll lead investigations into product failures, drive corrective and preventive actions, and ensure solutions meet reliability and compliance requirements. You'll also develop strategies to enhance internal and supplier performance, design inspection and testing processes, and perform statistical analyses to assess product quality. Your role will also include participating in supplier selection and maintaining certification programs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of quality engineering in electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, build instructions, and process procedures.
  • Experience developing inspection methodologies and determining product compliance.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis using tools like DUO, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, DOE, etc.
  • Experience conducting audits and supporting third-party/customer audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) contracts.
  • Certifications in IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Experience working with government customer representatives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence with impact.
