Job Summary:
In this role, the Manager of DT System Administrators will be responsible for leading a team of system administrators to enable program execution across multiple security domains. In addition, the role will also provide hands-on technical system administration support across a heterogeneous mix of computer, server, and networked hardware and software platforms to augment current system administration team.
The leader will establish a vision, set direction, develop, and motivate high-performing technical professionals to deliver business value and results. The leader will partner across Digital and other RTX functions to drive new technology insertion, sustainment direction, and support programs through the entire lifecycle. The leader will be involved in multiple aspects of people management including hiring, staff development, training, and performance appraisal

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

What You Will Do:
- Provide hands-on technical system administration support to augment current system administration team
- Develop and lead a high-performing team aligned with our Raytheon vision, strategy, values, and behaviors.
- Partner closely with peer groups to enable flawless Digital service delivery, and technology insertion / evolution.
- Assign, load balance, and monitor projects and tasks.
- Manage and record employee performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving hardware and OS integration. Coordinate technical documentation reviews and resolve system admin and integration issues.
- Create and submit periodic status reports and accomplishments to the next level of leadership.
- Administer time reporting, training, recruiting, orientation, and onboarding of new employees.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
- Manage annual operating plan (AOP) for the team's Digital scope.
- Ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of hire date
- Up to 10% travel
- 100% onsite
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Must have active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Experience with IT System Administration duties
- Experience managing, supervising, or leading a team.
- Experience in Linux and Microsoft Windows environment
- Experience with workforce planning and resource management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Top Secret clearance preferred
- Knowledge of DFARs, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements and controls.
- Experience with Tactical or Fielded Products and Systems HIGHLY desired
- Applicants with non-STEM degrees will be considered if the individuals have relevant technical and leadership experience.
- Experience in MS Windows and Linux OS Operating environments.
- Experience with workforce planning and resource management highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in Cybersecurity
- Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a business case for investment to senior management and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to partner engagements with program stakeholders, external DoD customers, and overall relationship excellence.
- Technical Acumen - Possess a foundational understanding of the technologies within the DT space, and keen knowledge of at least one functional partner (Engineering, Operations) area working practices. Experience in leading the delivery of technical capability (SW/HW Dev, DT Operations, etc.) within a program environment.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, with ability to influence and drive change.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex issues, develop effective solutions, and drive to timely resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage conflicting tasks and initiatives.
- Experience managing teams in an Agile / DevSecOps environment.
- Experience with cyber and compliance hardening, process controls, and risk management
