Seeking a certified Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner for hybrid contract opportunity in Maplewood MN.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading feature refinement for complex enterprise products and possess the technical knowledge necessary to effectively collaborate with software development teams. This role requires someone who can be productive immediately and is adept with the best practices of Agile software development. The candidate should be detail-oriented, capable of modeling business processes and user flows, and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the refinement and prioritization of product features using Azure DevOps, ensuring alignment with business goals and incremental delivery.
- Collaborate with multiple product owners and development teams to bridge the gap between product definition and software development.
- Mentor and guide team members on Scrum processes and norms.
- Translate complex product requirements into actionable features and user stories.
- Promote and implement strategies for incremental feature delivery.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including operations, tech service, and DevOps.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into product strategy.
- Model business processes and user flows, identifying missing branches in decision trees without the need for visual mockups.
- See connections between data and the decisions it informs.
Qualifications:
Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in a complex enterprise environment.
At least 3 years of experience working with Agile methodologies and using tools like Azure DevOps for managing epics, features, stories, bugs, tasks, and test cases.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.
Technical knowledge and experience working closely with development teams.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and influence others.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in promoting incremental feature delivery and adapting to change.
Detail-oriented with the capability to model business processes and user flows.
Experience in software development or technical roles.
Familiarity with other project management tools and methodologies.
Experience with tracking systems, design systems, and managing complex systems.
Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
