Description

SAIC is looking for a Satellite Space Vehicle Engineer to support a very dynamic and innovative space program in Chantilly, VA. In this position, you will gain experience with acquiring and deploying the next-generation of space assets including first of a kind satellite constellations with ground-breaking technology. This position will support space vehicle engineering, assembly, integration, and test activities for all of the government program office's major satellite programs. - Supports a Government program office in a space vehicle engineering capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of systems acquisitions
- Assisting the Government in monitoring Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) of multiple satellites at contractor facilities
- Provide support to Government customer by evaluating space vehicle designs, overseeing space vehicle development efforts, and assessing space vehicle requirements compliance through verification activities
- Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required
- Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives
- Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR

Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering or business and relevant space vehicle or satellite AI&T experience
- Experience with how NRO or space satellite systems are acquired

- The job requires familiarity with NRO organization, processes, and satellite systems.
- Experience with how space systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment
- TS/SCI with polygraph
