DevOps Engineer, Lead
The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to build, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management sof tware to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.

As a lead platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your te chn ical skills to affect mission-forward change. You'll guide your team as they use the latest cloud te chn ologies to improve your client's environment with current container sof tware to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform expertise, you'll lead your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. Work with us to use cloud platform te chn ology for good. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • 8+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI / CD pipeline failures or slowness
  • Experience developing, managing, and securing enterprise cloud-native solutions using containers
  • Experience mentoring or supervising employees within a collaborative team environment
  • Experience with Kubernetes administration and application deployment paradigms
  • Experience with AWS Security services, such as GuardDuty, Macie, Detective, and Inspector
  • Experience using TypeScript and Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience with Hands-on implementation
  • Ability to automate everything you can
  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Je nk ins, or Azure
  • Experience with creating and improving continuous automation across multiple te chn ical stacks
  • Experience with creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
  • Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commer cia l tools in public cloud environments
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering including working with an observability stack
  • Experience with GRC, specifically around FedRAMP or PCI-DSS
  • Experience with Grafana, Helm, Service Mesh, AWS, CDK, and TypeScript
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment with an ATO
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Kubernetes-related Certifications, such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
