Description

The Data Center Technician role is seeking someone with a strong generalist background in both networking and system administration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with enterprise-grade hardware, virtualization platforms, and physical infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual who can support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues across multiple domains, and contribute to the stability and scalability of their data center environment. -Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Dell and Cisco hardware, including blade servers, modular switches, and SAN infrastructure. -Support and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including basic system administration tasks. -Handle physical networking tasks such as RJ-45 cabling, fiber optics, SFPs, and 10 Gig connections. -Monitor and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). -Execute basic network and system commands for diagnostics and maintenance. -Understand and manage core networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP. -Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, cabling diagrams, and system configurations. -Assist with data center migrations, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades. -Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting on all network issues and services

Additional Skills & Qualifications

-2-5 years of experience in a data center or infrastructure support role -Hands-on experience with Dell servers, Cisco switches, and SAN/fiber switch environments. -Ability to run basic CLI commands and interpret system/network logs. -Comfortable with physical tasks such as racking, stacking, and cabling. -Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Nice to have: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CCNA, or MCSA Experience with Dell Blade Centers

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
