Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Configuration Management and Data Management (CM/DM) Lead supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). his role plays a crucial part in maintaining consistency, traceability, and compliance across all configuration and document management processes. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless integration of CM/DM practices, enabling efficient collaboration and information flow across engineering, product development, and operational teams The candidate will:
Lead and mentor a team of CM/DM specialists, ensuring best practices in software/hardware configuration and document management. Manage the CM/DM team to the achievement of the baseline control and delivery.
Serve as the primary point of contact for CM/DM-related inquiries, facilitating cross-functional communication and problem resolution
Ensure that the performance, function, and appearance of Mission products are consistent.
Manage the functional requirements, design, and operational information throughout each product's lifecycle. You will also develop migration plans and help oversee deployment.
Understand engineering concepts and interpret engineering documentation for configuration management impacts and strategies
Brief government personnel on the execution and status of Configuration and Data Management
The successful candidate will:
Provide proven leadership experience in configuration and document management
Have excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills
Be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects, and have strong issue resolution and planning skills
Extensive knowledge of CM principles, document control, and baseline management in hardware and software environments
Be able to maintain product structure using standard tools
Have experience working in an environment & role that requires a sense of urgency to meet challenging and/or overlapping deadline
This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:
Must have 6 or more, years of experience in a Configuration Management, or similar role
Must have 7 or more, years of documented fulltime work experience
Must have experience with Performance Work Statements (PWS) and understanding details outlined in contracts
Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Must have a working knowledge of Configuration and Data Management processes in CM Standard 649c and DoD application
Must understand Hardware, Software and Documentation management for Configuration Management
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
Have experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, SharePoint and/or IBM Tool Suite
Have experience with Configuration Management application against large scale Software factory environment
Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or manufacturing
This position is expected to pay $120,000 - $150,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
