Job Details
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with expertise on commercial and industrial scale projects, working predominantly with steel and concrete materials.
Responsibilities:
1. Designing, planning, and supervising the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures to ensure structural soundness and integrity.
2. Utilizing CAD and Revit software to create detailed structural designs and plans.
3. Conducting regular site visits to monitor the progress of construction, ensuring that the project adheres to the structural design.
4. Collaborating with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to understand and integrate their design requirements.
5. Analyzing blueprints, maps, reports, and topographical and geotechnical data, using software to design structures within established guidelines and standards.
6. Preparing and presenting detailed technical reports on the structural aspects of the project to stakeholders.
7. Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
8. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
2. A Professional Engineer (PE) license, or on the path to achieving PE within the next ~12 months.
3. Must have experience in concrete and steel design.
4. A minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in the commercial & industrial construction industry with concrete and steel.
5. Proficiency in CAD, Tekla, and/or Revit software.
6. An in-depth understanding of construction materials, engineering principles, and structural analysis.
