Role: Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Architect

Vaco has partnered in the search for a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Architect to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics solutions supporting manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and finance operations.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business and technology—translating operational needs into scalable ERP solutions that streamline processes and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to design end-to-end Dynamics 365 F&O solutions.
  • Configure and optimize key modules across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, Project Management, and Finance.
  • Develop detailed solution designs, including data mapping, workflows, configurations, and minimal customizations.
  • Oversee integrations with other enterprise systems using APIs, Power Platform tools, or middleware (e.g., SSIS).
  • Create and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to D365.
  • Partner closely with IT, business users, and third-party teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Provide guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and best practices.
  • Build and present prototypes or demos to validate design concepts with stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing improvements and serve as a subject matter expert on D365 capabilities and roadmap.
Qualifications:
  • 7–10 years of experience implementing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX).
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Finance modules.
  • Experience working in Agile project environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure DevOps, and SQL.
  • Proven ability to lead design sessions, manage stakeholders, and translate complex business needs into functional solutions.
  • Experience with data migration, middleware integrations (e.g., SSIS), and security role design.
