Must know the business: Trade Finance, LOC, import/export; just know a Trade Finance system eximbills, finastra, china systems
BA who knows BA functions and process modeling, data modeling
Project: Eximbills upgrade to newest version (na/emea)
Location: Prefer 5 days in Jersey City but open to hybrid for the right person
Duration: Multi-year program (2-3 years)
Job Description for Trade Finance Business Analyst
Role Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements for trade finance products, such as Letters of Credit (LC), Collections, Guarantees, FI Trade Loans and Account receivable Purchase.
- Conduct needs analysis and assess the technical viability of proposed solutions.
- Review and validate requirements with business users and stakeholders
- Collaborate with the technical team on the solution architecture and design.
- Ensure the implemented solution aligns with the high-level solution design and business requirements.
- Consult on database development and application integration.
- Validate that the implementation meets all business and technical requirements, including security and performance.
- Act as the business/functional counterpart to the project manager and development team.
- Communicate effectively with business users, developers, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops for requirements and solution validation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor s or equivalent. Masters is a plus.
- Apply knowledge of trade finance products and governing rules (e.g., , ).
- Understand commercial banking products and processes, such as payment processing and transaction management.
- Possess familiarity with the specific trade finance applications being replaced or implemented, such as China Systems, Finastra, UCP600 etc.
