Title: ForeScout Engineer

Duration: 3-month contract to hire

Location: Oakland, CA or Dallas, TX. 1 day a week on site.

Position Overview:

  • The ForeScout Engineer will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining ForeScout CounterACT solutions to enhance the organization s security posture by providing visibility, control, and compliance for devices on the network. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies, monitor network traffic, and ensure that devices meet compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network security principles and have hands-on experience with ForeScout technology.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation and Configuration:
  • Lead the deployment and configuration of ForeScout CounterACT solutions, ensuring proper integration with the existing network infrastructure and security systems.
  • Device Visibility and Control:
  • Utilize ForeScout to gain real-time visibility into all devices connected to the network, managing device access and ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Policy Development:
  • Collaborate with security teams to develop and implement access control policies, ensuring that all devices comply with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Continuously monitor network traffic and device behavior through ForeScout tools, analyzing data to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Prepare reports for management on device compliance and security incidents.
  • Incident Response:
  • Participate in incident response activities related to device compliance issues, investigating security events and implementing corrective measures to address vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration with IT and Security Teams:
  • Work closely with IT administrators, network engineers, and security personnel to align device security strategies with overall organizational objectives and operational workflows.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Provide training and support to technical staff and end-users on ForeScout functionalities, features, and best practices, fostering a culture of security awareness.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Liaise with ForeScout vendors to stay updated on product developments, patches, and enhancements, ensuring the organization utilizes the latest technology to protect its network.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with ForeScout CounterACT solutions and network security concepts.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, security tools, and device management.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
