Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Observability Platform team. The ideal candidate will have strong programming expertise, Kubernetes, and AWS experience. This role will contribute to building and supporting a new observability platform focused on metrics and traces, while driving platform enhancements, security, resiliency, and scalability.

You will be part of a collaborative team passionate about innovation, open-source, and cloud-native technologies, with opportunities to continuously learn and contribute to engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support scalable observability platforms and services.

  • Develop APIs and automation tools using Python (or Go/Java).

  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.).

  • Work with Kubernetes and containerization technologies to build distributed systems.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CFT, CDK).

  • Troubleshoot and optimize Linux-based systems and networking (DNS, Load Balancers, routing).

  • Collaborate with team members in paired programming and code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in deploying/supporting distributed, multi-tiered systems at scale.

  • Hands-on programming with Python (Go or Java also acceptable).

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda).

  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, CFT, CDK).

  • Knowledge of Linux systems, networking concepts, and containerization.

Nice to Have

  • Observability tools experience (Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, OpenTelemetry).

  • Experience with React or Node.js (frontend development).

  • Cloud certifications (AWS preferred).

  • Exposure to tracing/metrics frameworks (OTEL, Jaeger, FluentD, etc.).

Interview Process

  • Technical Interview: Includes a paired programming exercise in the candidate s preferred language.

  • Behavioral Interview: Conducted upon successful completion of the technical round.
