Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Materials Analysis Engineer to join our R&D laboratory team to support various products reaching EOL. This role focuses on the systematic teardown and analysis of electronics and battery systems to determine material composition and properties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform careful disassembly of electronic devices and battery systems following strict safety protocols
- Conduct materials composition analysis using spectroscopic and microscopic techniques
- Document and maintain detailed records of teardown procedures and findings
- Create and maintain bills of materials (BOM) for analyzed systems
- Support R&D initiatives through systematic investigation of material properties
- Contribute to laboratory capability development and process improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience in electronics disassembly or materials analysis
- Strong understanding of chemical composition and material properties
- Demonstrated experience with laboratory safety protocols and procedures
- Experience with analytical instruments (spectroscopy, microscopy)
- Strong attention to detail and systematic approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with robotics systems
- Knowledge of battery technologies and electronics
- Laboratory equipment maintenance experience
- Previous experience in R&D environment
