Position: SAP Security Engineer
Duration: 6+ months contract to hire
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite / Hybrid)

JOB DESCRIPTION

SKILLS NEEDED : SAP ECC security design, implementation, and administration, hands-on experience in TMS, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls

The ideal candidate has a strong background in SAP ECC security design, implementation, and administration, with hands-on experience in TMS, production support, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with SAP Security Design, Implementation, and Administration in SAP ECC, including production support.
  • Proficient in SAP authorization concepts, including authorization reporting, troubleshooting transaction codes, and project implementation.
  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, risks, and mitigating controls (e.g., segregation of duties).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing security systems, controls, and processes in large-scale SAP environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, evaluate, implement, support, manage, and deploy security systems safeguarding organizational information assets.
  • Analyze the security environment and develop measures to prevent unauthorized access, modification, destruction, or disclosure of information.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on data recovery after security breaches.
  • Deliver technical reports, assessments, and documentation of findings.
  • Maintain access controls by investigating improper access, revoking permissions, and reporting violations.
  • Conduct risk analyses, and security assessments across SAP and integrated systems.
  • Collaborate on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions.
  • Respond to information security issues during each stage of a project s lifecycle.
  • Establish system controls, access frameworks, and physical/terminal security standards.
  • Safeguard data through backups, source code management, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend enhancements to improve security posture.
  • Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies.
  • Supervise changes in software, hardware, and user needs from a security perspective.
  • Create, test, and implement network disaster recovery plans.
  • Train staff on information security procedures and develop security awareness programs.
  • Recommend modifications in legal, technical, and regulatory areas affecting IT security.
