Job Details

Most Important Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Program Managers, IT Infrastructure subject matter experts, other IT & non-IT resources, and vendors to create project plans and drive project tasks through the critical path milestones for deliverables.
  • Guide the Infrastructure subject matter experts & stakeholders through the execution and close out of the project.
  • Communicate & raise concerns to the leaders of subject matter experts & stakeholders when needed to ensure project delivery is successful.
  • Experience leading the implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure network service solutions (IE: Multi-site connectivity, Data Centers, WiFi, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience leading the implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure server, data, and backup solutions (IE: Data Centers, NAS, Backup, DR, Server Patching, Active Directory, Server OS Upgrades, etc.)
  • Experience partnering with General Contractors during constructions implementations

For each project worked on, this is what you'll do:

  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Program Managers, IT Infrastructure subject matter experts, other IT & non-IT resources, and vendors to create project plans and drive project tasks through the critical path milestones for deliverables. Guide the Infrastructure subject matter experts & stakeholders through the execution and close out of the project.
  • Ensure all requirements are captured accurately from IT Infrastructure subject matter experts and proactively communicated to non-IT Infrastructure teams.
  • Continuously adjust and align your project plan with the plans of business and vendor stakeholders is crucial to the success of your projects. Be flexible in adjusting the project plan as needed with clear communications to the affected stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Document, track and raise risks and issues while driving the mitigations throughout your projects. Think outside of the box with quick solutions for problems but do not affect agreed upon standards.
  • Supply immediate communications to the appropriate stakeholders & sponsors on changes, risks, & delays.
  • Communicate & raise concerns to the leaders of subject matter experts & stakeholders when needed to ensure project delivery is successful.
  • Work with your IT Infrastructure Program Managers and subject matter experts as needed for resolving budget issues.
  • Record high-level status updates on each of your projects into our program tracker frequently with a minimum of a full update 1 time per week due on Mondays by end of day.
  • Provide updates on the Infrastructure projects to your subject matter experts, business stakeholders & Infrastructure sponsors & the IT Infrastructure PMO via predefined KPIs.
  • Align with all Infrastructure operations teams at the close of the project to take over the day-to-day operations.

Core skills you have:

  • Experience partnering with General Contractors during constructions implementations
  • Experience leading the implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure network service solutions (IE: Multi-site connectivity, Data Centers, WiFi, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience leading the implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure server, data, and backup solutions (IE: Data Centers, NAS, Backup, DR, Server Patching, Active Directory, Server OS Upgrades, etc.)
  • Experience and knowledge of structured cabling systems, components and drawings.
  • Experience in managing complex cross functional projects, programs, and emergency initiatives
  • Clear Communication with Stakeholders - The ability to create project documentation quickly and efficiently for all stakeholders. The discipline to communicate via the appropriate methods that will make the biggest impact for your desired outcome. Pulling together resources as appropriate. The ability to align stakeholders to a project's elements (e.g. time, budget, scope) in a concrete and concise manner
  • Open Communication with Leaders - The self-awareness to reach out to subject matter experts and their leaders when projects require more skills or effort than can be provided. A willingness to collaborate and proactively communicate with other team members that may be able to assist.
  • Core Technical Discipline - Knowing the foundational pieces and key terms of all aspects of IT Infrastructure. The ability to translate complex technological requests/terms to non-technical partners effectively. The desire to self-teach and quickly learn technologies, on an as-needed basis.
  • Leadership Approach - A practiced and tuned leadership approach to create a high-performance infrastructure team collaboration.
  • IT Management Competency - Experience with frameworks, such as ITIL, to manage IT resources and service offerings to best serve the business. Ability to present to Sr leadership regarding project status and infrastructure health. The discipline of guiding completed projects to the correct operational functions to take over the day-to-day.
  • Customer Service Attitude - The ability to communicate with all end users ("internal customers") in a professional, positive, and approachable manner.
  • Prioritization / Self-Management - With a high volume of projects, the individual must be able to analyze impact and effort to appropriately prioritize/assign workloads
  • Objectivity in High Stress Projects - Time to time there will be high urgency projects. The ability to maintain an objective, levelheaded approach to these is core to success.
