Global Data Protection Engineer / Netapp

Global Data Protection Engineer 100% Remote 6 month contract
- Backup centric resource; 5+ years of experience in backup solutions
- Operations based, will be migrating backup solutions/data centers into Azure Cloud
- No On Call - Location: Remote (open to Naperville or Eagan if they want to go onsite)
Ecolab s FTE will be doing heavy lifting and migration work, this resource will support teams operational needs and day to day incidents/failures

Top Skills: - CommVault, current backup and data protection program
- Unix/Linux
- Azure
SAP/Hanna
- Windows Server - Oracle/SQL/DB2

D2D Tech:
- Daily Azure cloud maintenance and support
- Backup failure/Incident management through ticket and email intake
- Patching and operational repair

Nice to have:
- Storage experience
- IBM
- NetApp Certs:
- N/A

Top skills:

• Backup and Storage experience
• Azure
• Commvault (can be trained)

Nice to have:

• Azure NetApp or AzureFiles
• Linux Experience

D2D:

• Monitoring the health of backup drives
• Understanding failures, documenting efforts, escalating if needed
• Filtering and troubleshooting failures
• Remediate if possible or escalate to the specific owner for assistance
• Ticket intake: simple requests for server and storage issues through ServiceNow
• Any scripting is nice to have, not needed

Combination of on prem and Azure (80-90% in Azure)
