Please note that this is a 4 month contract position.

This position is an on-site position located in Raleigh, NC. Resources may be allowed remote hybrid work but must be willing to report to the Raleigh facility minimum 2-3 days per week.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree and a minimum 10 years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
SME-level accountability for a specific technology and backup/secondary responsibility for another technology.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server technologies.
Strong Powershell or Ansible scripting experience, especially with the goal of automation
Experience working under a Change Management umbrella, with strong policies and approval chain.
Able to demonstrate a strong engineering mindset throughout the project lifecycle.
Able to take responsibility and will pro-actively look to identify and improve existing processes and practices within the environment.
Excellent Communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to multi-task and respond effectively under pressure.
Continues professional education and create opportunities for core product teams to learn engineering best practices.
Ability to communicate well to other members of the team.
Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance

Desired Skills:
Significant experience with AWX / Ansible Tower
Experience with different languages to include Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell or equivalent.
Experience with containers to include Kubernetes and/or Docker.
Solid Understanding of modern operating systems and network technologies sufficient to automate associated processes Windows / SLES / RHEL
Integration of Git, in continuous deployment
Strong experience with DevOps automation tools like Docker, Ansible.

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert Windows Automation Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will support the team and provide automation development support in the form of developing automation capabilities to ensure functionality and usability is aligned with the organization s priorities, enabling delivery teams to do their work effectively. The engineer should have a deep familiarity with Windows Server automation and typical applications support associated with these platforms. This role will be responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of central IT infrastructure and applications.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide SME level infrastructure management and automation support.
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Develop, maintain, document, and automate technical processes and procedures as needed.
Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
Documents current environments, SOPS, future directions, technical designs, change tickets, and other items for internal operations as well as external auditors.
Will be the escalation point for other team members and knowledgeable of all team technologies.
Responds to engagements from the tier 2 operations teams to provide production fixes and root cause analysis. Available on a pager rotation for 24x7 support
Contributes to team projects, leads demos and presentations, helps new engineers learn established norms.
Achieves product commitments (and influences others to do the same) by using informal leadership & highly developed communication skills and contributes to or led technology communities.
Uses automation, system tools, and open-source solutions, in daily work
