Description

Position Purpose: Oversees daily operations of the production control activities in an IT environment. Develops and administers policies and procedures for ensuring the flow of data and operations between or within departments. Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field e.g. statistics mathematics engineering computer science and requires 2 - 4 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge duties scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. IT operations and administration required. managed health care environment and related industry regulations required. Technical Skills: One or more of the following skills are desired. Knowledge of Other: software lifecycles and practices Soft Skills: Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions Intermediate - Ability to work independently Responsibilities: Manages daily operations of production control activities for systems software and hardware data and applications Works with product teams to define architect and implement tools to enhance availability scalability cost-efficiency and performance of IT environment Ensures capacity planning for IT environment and implements performance metrics and event-driven alerting Provides second-level production support and maintain system management tools Participates in the disaster recovery processes/exercises and ensure preventive maintenance activities are carried out to maintain business continuity Ensures that major revisions to applications in production are passed after thorough testing and proper documentation according to change management and software development life cycle Recommends suitable software solutions and ideas for automating tasks of daily operations Documents standard operating procedures and sharing frequent progress reports/ updates with required stakeholders Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

To support and maintain the Buffalo Data Center The team culture is easy going but we get the work done. We are not afraid to have the conversations and look to each other as sources of information to educate each other in areas we are not familiar with. Projects currently being worked are: updating cabling, cabinet consolidation, and documentation. This is in addition to our daily tasks of hardware installs, break fix, and decommissions Physical hardware team A position where they will be on sight - engaged in various tickets and requests Installing hardware Removing hardware Removing cabling adding cabling etc. Data Center Tech or Engineer, infrastructure engineer, technician, hardware technician

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
