This position, within Environmental & Airframe Control Systems (EACS), is for an Associate Service Engineering professional with technical expertise. The candidate maintains effective communication and frequent contact with key customers and field team members, performs complex diagnostic procedures, and prepares reports for the senior leadership team.

What You Will Do
  • Maintains effective communications with key customers and field team members to ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate.
  • Maintains frequent contact with key customers which requires a high degree of tact and courtesy.
  • Prepares reports for senior leadership displaying interpreted test information to resolve design/system related problems and to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Ensures that key customers and field teams are kept informed on outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
  • Drives improvements based on end user experience.
  • Performs corrective actions for field issues, special investigations, and product testing.
  • The Service Engineering function acts as the "voice of the customer" for promoting positive change to our products and processes.
  • The Service Engineer is expected to help drive special investigations internally and with partners, gather field data and assist in root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and implementation.
  • As a Service Engineer, the individual will effectively engage all aspects of engineering departments, suppliers, repair centers, airframe manufacturers and aircraft operators.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience driving the development, planning, and implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for field issues involving electronic products.
  • Experience with aerospace products/systems, mechanical and/or electronic control system products required.
  • EACS or Air management systems (AMS) product or system knowledge.
  • Aftermarket experience.
  • Degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering.
  • Experience communicating with all levels of a technical organization (executive to technician).

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
