Senior DevOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Lakeland, FL that is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure and tools that enable rapid software development and deployment. This role works closely with development, QA, and IT operations teams to automate processes, monitor systems, and improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability while providing production support for customer-facing and supporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities
* Define and develop DevOps infrastructure projects
* Design and implement secure automation solutions for each of the different environments relative to our SDLC (development, staging/UAT, production)
* Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
* Manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM
* Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration
* Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
* Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes
* May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor' degree in Computer Science or a relevant field; Equivalent working experience is acceptable
* At least 5 years of working experience in a DevOps capacity
* Experience with cloud security, such as managing users, roles, and privileges through IAM and
integrating vulnerability assessment tools with CI/CD pipeline
* Proficient in scripting/programming languages for automation - Python/Bash/PowerShell
* Excellent troubleshooter
* Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
* Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and security principles
* Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools
* Experience with compliance and security standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
* Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
