Job Details

Position: Project Manager
Contract: W2 Only

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects through their full life cycle, including defining and managing project scope and detailed project plans.
  • Drive projects to completion by resolving issues, removing blockers, and ensuring steady progress.
  • Deliver successful project implementations with measurable business benefits.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure project outcomes align with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
  • Organize and manage project teams, assign tasks, and monitor workloads.
  • Track progress on project tasks, manage dependencies, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Escalate issues and risks promptly, facilitating their resolution with appropriate input.
  • Communicate proactively with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring expectations are clearly set and managed.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured documentation and audience-appropriate communications.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to gather requirements, gain consensus, secure commitments, and drive decisions.
  • Manage project budgets and maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation.
  • Ensure successful implementation through adequate training and testing plans.
  • Foster team collaboration and encourage open exchange of diverse ideas and perspectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in an investment management organization, with a significant portion in a project management role.
  • Proven track record managing complex projects within investment management environments.
  • Experience with modern software implementation approaches.
  • Strong understanding of the full investment operations lifecycle, including processes, workflows, and systems supporting investment business functions.
  • Detailed knowledge of multiple investment types, security types, and asset classes, including their unique characteristics and application in investment strategies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SimCorp Dimension and/or Order Management Systems such as Charles River Development (CRD).
  • Project management qualifications/certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.).
  • Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing and executing change management plans.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and high work ethic.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
