  • Location: Hybrid in Denton / Dallas, TX (3 days in office)
  • Pay Range: $70.00 $75.00 per hour, based on experience and internal equity
  • Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term multi-year opportunity
  • Work Type: Hybrid 3 days in office

POSITION IS LOCATED IN DENTON / DALLAS, TX

 

Title: Senior Systems Administrator

We re hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure systems across server, virtualization, and storage platforms. This role plays a key part in both BUILD and RUN operations, guiding infrastructure evolution and executing technical deployments that support global IT systems.

 

Daily Tasks Performed:

  • Maintain and optimize system and storage components
  • Install and update ESX hosts, servers, storage, and system software
  • Execute infrastructure monitoring, testing, and backup procedures
  • Respond to and resolve system/storage-related incidents and performance issues
  • Define rules for tool usage and infrastructure standards
  • Participate in capacity upgrades and infrastructure maintenance projects
  • Recommend roadmap enhancements and new features for service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL process standards
  • Promote a safe and compliant work culture

 

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Advanced VMware and Citrix administration
  • Data storage systems (NetApp, EMC preferred)
  • Virtualization architecture, including vSphere and vSAN
  • Server hardware support (Dell, HP, etc.)
  • Technical documentation and systems lifecycle planning
  • Windows Server and Linux OS management
  • Backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations

 

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • 11+ years of experience with VMware, Citrix, storage systems, and Windows Server
  • Preferred: Experience with Linux OS and 10+ years of server hardware support
  • Expert-level knowledge in:
  • Data Storage Systems (NetApp, EMC)
  • VMware Administration (vSphere, vSAN, etc.)
  • Citrix Virtualization
  • General Systems Administration
  • Advanced knowledge of:
  • Windows Server
  • IT Architecture and Engineering
  • ITIL processes (Service, Risk, Security, Governance)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written English)

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • VMware (VCA, VCP)
  • NetApp (NCSA, NCDA, NCSE)
  • EMC Storage Admin
  • Citrix (CCP-V, CCA-V)
