Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in Glen Allen, Virginia for a Solutions Architect. You will play a pivotal role in understanding the software applications, system integration, product evaluation, and system implementation to guide key decisions that shape the application functionality landscape.

Responsibilities:
Consult, analyze, and recommend technology solutions to meet business goals.
Evaluate various technology application solutions for the organization based on use cases and business outcomes.
Lead and document formal solution evaluations, including considerations related to business benefits, ongoing cost, operational impacts, potential information security or compliance risks, and overall strategic alignment.
Provide in-depth technical consultation to business partners and technology teams to ensure efficient and effective solutions that support established standards and methodologies.
Assess existing solutions to ensure capabilities are being fully utilized and value is maximized.
Identify underutilized or duplicative solutions within the enterprise and recommend ways to consolidate solutions to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain comprehensive solution, system, and data flow artifacts.
Lead sessions and communications to ensure other teams expand their understanding of the systems in place.
Assist with the evolution and maturation of the enterprise technology architecture program.
Engage vendors and third-parties when necessary to analyze design options, enhance existing solutions, and ensure contracted work is consistent, timely, and meets standards/expectations.
Continually research capabilities of current and new disruptive solutions on the market and make recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Proficiency in documentation, ensuring clear and concise records of all processes and procedures.
Strong research abilities to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Expertise in designing robust and scalable technology solutions.
Proficiency in time management and prioritization of tasks.
Thorough understanding of benefit functions and their applications.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
Experience in dealing with vendors and managing vendor relationships.
Proven consulting skills, with the ability to advise on best practices and strategies.
Experience in the implementation of complex projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology and its application in software development.
Strategic planning skills to align technology solutions with business objectives.
Knowledge of financial services industry and its associated technology requirements.
Understanding of various frameworks and methodologies used in software development.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners.
Sound knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its phases.
Ability to provide consultation to stakeholders on various technology solutions.
Proficiency in creating and interpreting data flow diagrams.
Experience with software application development and maintenance.
Ability to produce artifacts as part of the software development process.
Experience in creating and analyzing use cases.
Ability to design and implement technology solutions to meet business needs.
