Job Description
The mission of the New York City Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in New York City by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, protect the people, reduce fear, and maintain order. The NYPD strives to foster a safe and fair city by incorporating Neighborhood Policing into all facets of Department operations, and solve the problems that create crime and disorder through an interdependent relationship between the people and its police, and by pioneering strategic innovation.
The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) supports the Department by acquiring, distributing, installing and maintaining Local Area Networks, personal computers, mainframe computers, software, and data communications networks. ITSD also plans and coordinates the implementation of advanced technology.
The Digital Adoption Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the members or the New York Police Department efficiently utilize digital tools to enhance productivity and collaboration. This position will focus on facilitating the adoption of Mircosot 365 applications (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint, PowerApps, Forms, Lists, etc.) and other digital productivity platforms, helping users leverage advanced features to optimize workflows. The ideal candidate is proactive communicator with a passion for technology, training, and end user support.
Responsibilities include:
-Develop and execute strategies to promote the effective use of Microsoft 365 tools and other digital applications across the organization.
-Design and deliver engaging training sessions (in-Person, virtual) tailored to various skill levels, focusing on Microsoft 365 features, best practices, and productivity improvement.
-Identify and promote underutilized features of Microsoft 365 licensing to enhance business processes and collaboration.
-Formulate business cases by conducting gap analysis, capability assessment and impact analysis, and provide a recommended solutions that enhances office productivity.
-Create user guides, video tutorials, and other resources to support ongoning learning and adoption of digital tools.
-Collaborate with IT and leadership to support the rollout of new tools or updates, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
-Gather user feedback to identify pain points, assess training needs, and recommend solutions to improve tool adoption and user experience.
-Monitor adoption using analytics tools and provide on progress and areas for improvement.
-Keep current with Microsoft 365 updates, new features, and industry trends to provide cutting-edge guidance and recommendations.

2. An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
3. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
