Shift Information
20 hours per week. Some meetings are required. Hybrid work- some office time required for sample reviews.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Engineer to lead the technical development of decorative accessories and hard bath products. This role is responsible for independently managing the product development lifecycle from concept to production ensuring alignment with brand vision, quality standards, and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in manufacturing processes, materials, and CAD tools, and will collaborate cross-functionally with design, sourcing, quality, and merchandising teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end technical development process for assigned product categories.
- Interpret and translate design concepts into manufacturable products while maintaining brand integrity and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Sourcing, Quality, Merchandising) and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective product development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant testing, safety, and legal requirements for consumer products.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve manufacturing challenges throughout the development cycle.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and lead strategic research initiatives to inform product innovation and performance improvements.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams and vendor partners to ensure alignment and execution of product goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in product quality, cost, and manufacturability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in product engineering or development.
- Strong knowledge of raw materials, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Miro).
- In-depth understanding of product testing protocols, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Between $75/hr - $85/hr on w2
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
