About the Role

  • A large enterprise IT organization is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its Edge Networking team. This position supports network operations across multiple agencies and contributes to planning, designing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise LAN/WAN and edge network environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support network infrastructure, including:
    • Switches, routers, firewalls
    • SD-WAN edge devices
    • Wireless and cellular-based network systems
  • Perform network monitoring, troubleshooting, and advanced issue resolution using industry-standard tools
  • Assist with LAN/WAN planning and design, including capacity planning and technical diagrams
  • Support deployments, upgrades, and related change management processes
  • Document work and track incidents using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy
  • Provide Tier 2 support during major network events or outages
  • Evaluate new technologies and contribute to hardware refresh cycles
  • Ensure network designs meet all security requirements
  • Create and maintain Visio network diagrams and configuration documentation
  • Support remote IT staff and agency teams with network-related issues
Required Qualifications
  • hands-on experience with network switching
  • hands-on experience with network routing
  • Strong experience in large, enterprise network environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and safely use a step ladder
  • Valid PA driver s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNA certification
  • CCNP certification
  • SD-WAN experience
  • Experience with firewalls, wireless systems, and edge networking technologies
  • Experience with Visio, ServiceNow, and network monitoring tools
