The ADI power module team is seeking a motivated, experienced power product evaluation engineer to provide support to our Multi-Market Power BU located at ADI's Colorado Springs offices. The candidate will be working with the industry best power engineering team and working on the industry leading power module product research, development and technical supports.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Supporting new power module product feasibility and development
  • New module product performance evaluations including efficiency, thermal, stability, transient responses, protections, etc.
  • Developing test and validation system to automate data collections and improve productivities
  • Debugging and resolving potential issues.
  • Generating detailed evaluation reports.
  • Developing supporting hardware boards such as rider cards, contactor demo boards, etc.
  • Supporting new product test development including test & bench correlations.
  • Supporting new product datasheet development
  • Developing design and simulation models, tools and circuits.
  • Supporting product failure analysis
  • Providing technical writings, presentations and trainings as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum education: BSEE with power electronics background. MSEE a plus.
  • Minimum experience: 3 year industry experiences in designing, building and testing switching mode power supply circuits.
  • Enjoy analog and power circuit designs, simulations, build and lab testing.
  • Experience in developing (design and build) and evaluating analog circuit boards.
  • Familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, power supply, e-load, frequency analyzer, etc.
  • Good background of analog circuit and power electronics.
  • Experience with circuit design and simulation tools (PSPICE, LTspice, Simplis, LTpowerCAD, MathCAD, OrCAD, Ansys, etc.)
  • Good communication, technical writing and team working skills.
  • Test equipment programing experience a plus.
  • Has the ability to work as a part of multidisciplinary team.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $103,360 to $142,120.
