Job Title: Sr. Power BI Developer with Python
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Houston, TX
Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Power BI Consultant to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Python to deliver actionable insights, automate processes, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring high performance, scalability, and user adoption.
- Write and optimize DAX expressions for calculated measures, columns, and advanced business logic.
- Design and maintain robust SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support analytics needs.
- Utilize Python for advanced analytics, data transformation, and integration with machine learning models.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into data models, and deliver intuitive, interactive solutions.
- Implement best practices for data visualization, modeling, and governance across multiple projects.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to organizational knowledge-sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 5 years focused on Power BI.
- Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar) for data preparation and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Python for data wrangling, analytics, and automation.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience working directly with business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and analytics solutions.
- Exposure to predictive analytics and integration with AI/ML models.
