Job Title: GMC Developer
Location: Remote
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced GMC Developer to join our document composition and communications team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality customer communications using the GMC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and maintain templates and workflows using GMC Inspire Designer, Scaler, Automation, and Interactive.
- Work with input data (XML, CSV, TXT) to generate output in various formats (PDF, AFP, HTML, etc.).
- Implement business logic within templates using GMC scripting (JavaScript, Inspire s Expression Language).
- Collaborate with business analysts and designers to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Optimize communication templates for performance and reusability.
- Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing within the Inspire environment.
- Package and deploy applications in the GMC Inspire Production/Scaler environment.
- Maintain documentation of technical designs and version history.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with GMC Inspire
- Proficient in Inspire Designer, Scaler, and Automation.
- Strong knowledge of data-driven document composition.
- Experience with GMC scripting using JavaScript or Inspire Expression Language.
- Familiarity with input/output formats (PDF, AFP, HTML, XML, CSV, TXT).
- Understanding of layout design, dynamic content generation, and template version control.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and efficiently.
