Job Details

Our client is a well-established, values-driven company with a strong international presence and a reputation for excellence. As they continue to grow, they re creating their first dedicated security leadership role. As Vice President of Information Security, you ll work directly with senior leadership to shape the company s security strategy from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact setting policies, guiding compliance efforts, and building the roadmap for a scalable, modern security program.

This is open as a Contract-to-Hire or Direct hire role.


  • Location: Newport Beach, CA
  • Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $110/hour on a contract-to-hire basis or about $200k + bonus for direct hire

What You ll Do:


  • Act as the primary authority for all security-related matters, including incident response, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and enforcement of company-wide security policies
  • Own SOC 2 and other audit processes, ensuring readiness and response across departments
  • Review vendor contracts and internal projects for security and compliance risk
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and business teams to drive data privacy and regulatory compliance

What Gets You the Job:


  • 10+ years of experience in information security, ideally within cloud-native or mid-sized environments
  • Strong familiarity with AWS, Azure, and modern security infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with SOC 2 audits, vendor assessments, and incident investigations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable building a program independently and recommending resourcing strategies for future growth
