Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Network Engineer with Project Management Experience. This is a contract to hire opportunity based out of Midland, TX.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the networking field.
  • Self-sufficient and can make engineering decisions within the documented process.
  • Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide VoIP and Trader Voice services support at a mid to advanced level to the enterprise.
  • Review and design system configurations and voice requirements for the NICE Recording system for Call Manager and IPC deployments.
  • Provide and maintain architectural documentation of telecommunications infrastructure and create handover documentation to Service Operations.
  • Troubleshoot network/VOIP problems, referring to vendors or technicians as appropriate.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of the VOIP network infrastructure (i.e. Cabling- Racking/LAN/WAN/WLAN/VoIP/VPN/Network Security).
  • Assist with the development of documentation for standards requirements within the department.
  • Provide accurate, clear, concise documentation and assistance to Service Operations.
  • Review and ensure accurate systems documentation is maintained throughout the project.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to coordinate and cooperate with others and provide junior Team member mentoring.
  • Partners with vendors, clients, carriers, and technical staff on VoIP implementation, optimization, security, and ongoing management.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Technical Expertise with IP networking and extensive knowledge of technologies such as SDWAN, MPLS, and VPN.
  • Extensive knowledge of network hardware including Cisco routers and switches. Experience and expertise with IP routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Knowledge of Cisco encryption technologies (IPSec, SSL), standby protocols HSRP and VRRP, and network address translation (NAT).
  • Experience in VRF VNF, and NSX.
  • Experience in Overlay and Underlay.
  • Experience required in Cisco ISE, Prime, and with both ACI and ACA Firewall technologies.
  • Experience with Nexus and FEX configuration a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, implement, and support network systems of moderate complexity.
  • Able to lead and guide projects dealing with network changes and upgrades.
  • Support WAN connections to CLIENT commercial endpoint devices and analyze utilization to determine circuit capacity requirements.
  • Work closely with account managers to support all client network requirements.
  • Provide network design documentation to project teams, peers, and network support organizations.
  • Perform third-level support within Client/Vendor Partners to resolve network issues and support the implementation of new network solutions.
  • Provide engineering recommendations to Client/Vendor Partner regional and product representatives as requested.
  • Conduct product evaluation and testing, and support application development teams.
  • Support change management processes for the commercial network environment.
  • Support maintenance window activities on the commercial network when required.
  • Participate in the development, testing, and QA functions to ensure project delivery.
  • This person should be able to assist in the deployment and troubleshooting of Unified Communications products and enhancements based on current production deployments for Voice over IP and Trader Voice infrastructure.
