Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.
The UI/UX Graphics Design Specialist uses the design process to create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that align stakeholder and end-user needs, while delivering high-fidelity wireframes optimized for various devices. The individual collaborates with UX designers, developers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment, conducts usability studies, and translates product visions into intuitive digital experiences through research, prototyping, and testing. They also make strategic design decisions, identify design problems, and ensure solutions are validated through user research and testing.

They also make strategic design decisions, identify design problems, and ensure solutions are validated through user research and testing.
Responsibilities
- Use the design process to create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that successfully merge stakeholder and end-user needs.
- Design and deliver high-fidelity wireframes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Work closely with the UX Manager/Senior Designer to create usability strategies, test plans, and report deliverables.
- Work closely with the Usability Lab Manager to conduct usability studies for many health-related products and services; analyze study data and identify trends that fuel report deliverables.
- Collaborate with other UX designers, developers, project managers, and stakeholders in an Agile scrum environment.
- Translate clients' product vision into tangible digital experiences by researching, conceiving, sketching, wire-framing, prototyping, and testing experiences.
- Identify design problems and devise elegant, simple solutions.
- Make strategic design decisions related to core and new functions/features.
- Validate design decisions and concepts through user research, heuristic analysis, and user testing.
- Efficiently balance multiple projects and project types.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Centered Design/UX (or equivalent nomenclature) or UX design certification
- 2+ years of UX design experience (in industry, freelance, etc.)
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments, regardless of cumulative years of experience
- Active 508 Trusted Tester Certification
- Ability to obtain Public Trust
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
- Experience with mobile and progressive web apps.
- Expertise in Adobe XD and Adobe Suite products.
- Experience in using UX design best practices with a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- Firm research and usability foundation.
- Proficient in visual and interaction design.
- 508 compliance and accessibility knowledge.
- Ability to effectively work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client vision and end-user needs.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills and ability to present ideas to all levels of stakeholders, including VIPs.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions quickly, efficiently, and intelligently
- Ability to operate with minimal guidance and direction.
- Strong time and project management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
- Must have a valid driver's license as some local travel is required.
- Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
