Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled PaaS Administrator - Tanzu Application to join our Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) team. This role involves supporting, deploying, and managing Tanzu Application Service (TAS) within our private cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation, integration with development tools, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the PaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Services & Private Cloud Support:

Administer and manage Tanzu Application Services (TAS) for VMs running on on-premises vSphere PaaS.

Ensure seamless integration with IaaS, CaaS, and PaaS solutions within our private cloud.

Automate and orchestrate Tanzu workloads to enhance scalability and operational efficiency.

Maintain security and compliance by aligning with ITAR and industry best practices.

PaaS Management & Deployment:

Deploy, configure, and maintain Tanzu Application Service (TAS), ensuring optimal performance.

Implement monitoring and logging solutions for PaaS workloads, capturing performance metrics.

Manage autoscaling capabilities to ensure dynamic resource allocation and cost efficiency.

Tenant Operations:

Install, configure, and manage service brokers to facilitate application provisioning and management.

Provide technical support for developers and operations teams using Tanzu PaaS.

Implement and manage identity and access management for PaaS workloads.

Integration & Automation:

Integrate Tanzu PaaS with internal development tools such as CI/CD pipelines, source control, and collaboration platforms.

Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.

Ensure seamless deployment and testing of Tanzu workloads

Compliance & IT Service Management:

Maintain IT service management processes, including incident response, change management, and capacity planning.

Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity for PaaS workloads.

Monitor and enforce compliance with ITAR and other security policies.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or platform services.

Hands-on experience with Tanzu Application Service (TAS), Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG), Tanzu Mission Control, and Tanzu Service Mesh.

Expertise in VMware vSphere, private cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration.

Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and monitoring platforms.

Experience with service brokers, application deployment, and workload monitoring.

Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, compliance requirements, and disaster recovery planning.

Proficient in application Lifecycle Management and Platform Modernization

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in VMware Tanzu, Kubernetes, or VMware Cloud technologies.

Experience with cloud security frameworks and best practices.

Background in large-scale enterprise infrastructure and cloud migration projects.
