Cloud System Administrator
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers? We're looking for a system administrator who specializes in hybrid on-premise or Cloud based solutions. You'll work with premise server hardware and with Amazon AWS Cloud Infrastructure. You'll know how to manage and secure Cloud-based database technology, including Amazon AWS EC2s, S3, Lambda and databases, including RDS and EC2. You will perform back-up and recovery, setup systems within both on premise and cloud environments, and prepare system documentation.
As a system administrator on our team, you'll support patching, auditing (STIGs), and resource performance troubleshooting requests. You'll create, manage, and maintain system solutions using and work with your customer and migration teams to ensure standards are met as you guide them through Cloud migration. This is an opportunity to use the latest Cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer's environment using current Cloud capabilities. You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in hybrid system administration, cloud computing and security. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together.
At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the servers and cloud technology supporting the Army. On our team, you will serve as a system administrator supporting on premise and cloud resources on a small team supporting 50+ applications. In this role, you'll closely impact your client with peace of mind as you implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the systems within an on premise and AWS environment.
